tightness and tunnel vision

9 months after cataract surgery my eyes are tight feeling and tunnel vision. Dr says everything is fine. Maybe it is my carotid artery. I have macular degeneration in one eye. Can surgery make it worse? When I saw the retina specialist, she poked me in the left eye and that's when the tightness started. Could be coincidence but don't know. This is scary for me. I am 75 and tightness won't leave.
