Discomfort After Cataract Surgery

Had surgery 10 days ago and had 2 follow ups with surgeon for annoying discomfort as if something is in my eye. He claims everything looks great but I'm certain something is wrong as it feels horrible. I am holding off doing surgery on second eye but am uncertain what the problem can be. Can a post surgery irritation last 2 weeks and cause this problem? Anyone know a top notch surgeon in northern NJ or NYC I should consult with? Thanks.
