Serious sight vision after glaucoma surgery

by John
(Las Vegas, Nevada)

I am 77 years old and had glaucoma surgery 2 years ago. Prior to my surgery, other than high pressure, my sight was wonderful. My Dr. told me it would take 2-3 months to heal. It did heal, but my sight is very bad. I continued to ask when my sight would return and was continually told, 3-4 weeks. It never did return. To this day I don't really know why my sight is so mad. He referred my to a "in house" surgeon who told me any further surgery and I could lose my sight completely.

Xen Stent Placement
by: Anonymous

Me too, I had a xen stent intervention 6 months ago, my sight has worsened, but am thankful can still see but very blurry and becoming worse every day. I lost my right eye to Glaucoma and I want to keep my left eye safe. I am not sure what the Doc is going to suggest to me next, if my pressure has soared up, am wondering whether it is safe to have another intervention done? The scarring will still exist and will prevent the surgery to succeed.
