Recent cataract surgery

by Judy
(Michigan, USA)

I had cataract surgery on my left eye in Nov 2013 and in Dec on the right eye. Next came laser surgery on both due to capsular opacification. Now my night time vision is so bad I cannot drive. I see jagged lines and large glare fields, double and triple images and heavy circular images of light around all lights. The glare and distortions are painful and confusing. Any suggestion on what I can do. Doctor says it is just one of the things that can happen.

Was referred to a retinal specialist who feels I may be developing wet macular in one eye, but says this does not explain the double and triple vision, glare, and severe night vision problems. Cannot read for more that ten minutes without developing double vision....and that is with my new glasses! We'll be going to Cleveland Clinic, but does anyone out there have the same post surgical problems and if so what have you been told?
