My Recent Sight Restoring Cataract Surgery

by Mark Henderson
(Marbella, Spain )

I had cataract surgery at the prestigious Quirón Salud hospital in Marbella. The same night after surgery I could not sleep due to eye pain; it felt like pressure in my eye and was much worse when I lay down. To relieve the pain I was experiencing I had to sit up in bed making sleep impossible. The next day I went for a post operative examination, still in pain, and told the doctor how I felt and he gave me some drops, there and then, and the pain stopped and I have not had any problems, in that regard, since. My visual acuity is very much improved as I went totally blind due to hypermature cataracts having formed, first in one eye, over a long period, then very quickly in my other eye. After three weeks, now my vision is good and much improved even better than it was prior to being diagnosed with cataracts. I have noticed a few floaters, recently, but according to what I read, this is expected and will, in all likelihood resolve by itself.
