Cataract surgery

I recently had cataract surgery and had an eye block in addition to twilight anesthesia. It's been over a week later and my face still feels numb. No one warned me about any aftereffects of the eye block. They said it was just like novacaine and would wear off in a few hours. DON'T EVER LET AN OPHTHALMOLOGIST TALK YOU INTO AN EYE BLOCK....

Have never had an eye block. Had a nerve block for shoulder surgery, but no after effects at all. I would ask the surgeon if this is normal, and if so, how long will it take you to regain feeling in your face! You need answers from them or need to seek advice from another specialist!
