I had my right eye done first; 5 days later my left eye. There was terrible bruising and blood in the eyes. When this cleared, the sight in the right eye was worse than before the surgery and continues to be. The left eye is still cloudy, gritty, irritated and very uncomfortable. It has been over 5 weeks and I am in despair about this surgery.
Two bifocal lenses were inserted... apparently, this is not a good idea. I was convinced by the surgeon it would be perfect. I would like to have these removed and a regular lens inserted. Apparently this has to be within a certain time period, or the scar tissue around the lens is too great. I am now away for 4 months and the Doc says he can fix the poor sight in right eye by lasering the cornea, when I return??
I don't know what to do about the discomfort in the left eye. I have been to a retinal specialist as well.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thank you, Cathryn
