Cataract surgery that failed

by Mohamed
(Durban south africa )

Had cataract surgery in my left eye done 3 years ago and it got worst - had a vitrectomy done as well but that did not help. My doctor now tells me that he can't do anything. Cannot see through my left eye and it is very sore. Doctors name Dr Nasser Khan, Chatsworth Durban Chatsmed Hospital.
Please can I get some advice? My doctor said that the surgery did not work due to high eye pressure.

Cataract surgery and eye pressure
by: Anonymous

Is your high eye pressure from glaucoma? Are you being treated for that? I have glaucoma but take Latanoprost drops every evening to control it. I have no medical training but have been told that high pressure can impact the effectiveness of cataract surgery. I had cataract surgery in both eyes late last year. Because my pressure was being controlled, I have had no problems whatever and am very happy with my greatly improved vision. I would hope there is a solution to your problem and wish you the best in finding it.
