I've read several posts on this site and think there is a need for more good news cataract stories. I am 75 and had both eyes done a few months ago. I am thrilled to be back to 20/20 or better in both eyes. My surgery went well - no infection, no pain, no swelling, etc. and only a little itchy feeling for a few weeks. I am a little light sensitive in bright sunlight but wearing sunglasses is no problem. My night vision is so much better that I can't believe what I put up with before. With all of this positive stuff, I do have to say that I probably was the ideal patient since I do not smoke, drink almost nothing, and have no health problems other than that I am 75 and have only minor arthritis and seasonal allergies to complain about.
