Debris imbeded in eyelid
by: Velma

Three weeks after the first eye surgery I still felt like something was in my eye. At first the Dr. thought it was dryness but by the third week, he examined my eyelid and found, what he called debris, embedded in my eyelid. He removed it and oh, what a relief!. It delayed my getting new eyeglass prescription but happy it was taken care of.

Dry Eye
by: Anonymous

I'm hoping you get some relief for your eye. I had problems almost immediately following my cataract surgery in October of 2014, and it's continued ever since. Dry eye, terrible floaters and just plain discomfort and pain like there is something in my eye constantly.

Five different "specialists" in Boston's highly - regarded hospitals found nothing wrong with me. Told me that I was thinking about it too much and that I was a "puzzle". I finally went to Johns Hopkins, where at least the doctor said I had dry eye and blepharitis. Don't know if it will ever go away, but he's trying. I can't believe that no one has helped me before this.

My only advice is to keep trying. Go to a different medical facility and don't forward any records. Give them a fresh start. I think it's terrible that so many people go through this, and no one really explains the dangers other than the obvious one of losing your sight. I never realized just how debilitating cataract surgery can be.

Second opinion
by: Anonymous

Suggest a 2nd opinion from a doctor who is not affiliated with that clinic. If you can't see there is obviously a problem. If your surgeon can't or won't explain what the problem is then you need to go elsewhere for further treatment or diagnosis.
