It is now March 2018 and I had my left eye lens replacement surgery done in Sept 2017, my right eye performed in July 2017.
I see fine now without my glasses although still use reading glasses when reading a lot or doing close needlework. Sometimes my eyes feel swollen and ache and heavy even though they look normal. they definitely feel different with the artificial lens. Looking upwards or downwards feels very different.
Sunlight really hurts my eyes and I wear sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat when outside if sunny out. I like not having to wear glasses all the time but my eyes definitely feel different with the artificial lens...they really do ache sometimes and feel heavy and I need to use eye drops a lot which I did not need before. I don't regret the surgery and maybe I am still in healing mode and in time this will settle down.
weirdly so my eyelashes have gotten longer since I no longer wear glasses. Go figure.
